A VIDEO-SHARING WEBSITE FOR DEAF PEOPLE IN IRELAND
In 2009, On Road Media was approached by the Catholic Institute for Deaf People (CIDP) to create a network for the deaf community in Ireland and provide training in social media to its members and, within a few months, Touchbase, a social network established by and for the deaf community in Ireland. was born.
We are hoping to find funding for further development of the network and its resources as the next phase of the project (which is currently unfunded) is to skill-up a trainer who is deaf, embedding skills into the community and enabling the network to become self-sufficient.
