- I'm a Goldsmiths undergrad student due to graduate in '09 and a great supporter of what OnRoad stands for.
As someone who has worked closely with the OnRoad team before, I have seen first hand how social enterprises such as this one can and do empower people.
My goal this year is to setup a media and music centre through which young people can gain new skills.
- What change would you like to see around you?
- That people take more action on the things that displease them particularly the riduculous high living costs.
I would also like to see - and I think it is happening slowly - the government held to greater accountability for its actions at home and abroad. It takes a crisis for bad practice to be revealed and I do not think this is acceptable.
I would also like to see Media organisation discuss those issues that represent real people's lives as and not just those that might give rise to a good by-line. the media plays an important role in changing opinion and it could do much more to help change attitutes towards marginalised groups.
