Hi - I have just returned to university studying 20+ years since I was last doing it. I am excited, highly motivated - AND SCARED!!! Everything has changed - the relationships between students and lecturers, the way so much is done via a virtual learning environment, even the way the library is organised and resources ara available. I am worried I won't keep up, that I will be out of my depth, that everyone is more capable than me, that I have bitten off more than I can chew, that my work will be affected, that I won't have time to ever see my friends again... I sometimes start to wonder why I am doing it but I am genuinely excited by the challenge and it has been great meeting fellow students and sharing backgrounds and experiences with each other. Thank you. I am sure I will want a lot of hand holding over the next two years so any hints, tips and advice on mid-career studying would be very much appreciated.
